Hobuck Beach Party And Luau


Lets bring back an old WKC tradition, and plan to hang out at Hobuck Beach (Makah Bay) Sept 20-21.    We'll party together and have fun playing in the ocean with our boats.  There is also a rumor there may even be a luau.  
 
If you've never paddled on the ocean before before, we'll show you how!  Paddling opportunities will be available for all club members, including clinics offered by lead instructors Hamp All and Deb Volturno.  

For those who are new to ocean paddling, there will be introductory clinics focused on managing the surf zone and how to paddle in the coastal environment.  
 
For WW paddlers, come and surf ocean waves.  No holes, strainers, boof, or huck, just a fast ride! Surfing lessons will be offered.
For sea kayakers familiar with ocean paddling, we plan to do a day paddle to Point of Arches and/or Cape Flattery.  An intermediate clinic on rock gardening will also be available.  
 
If you have never been there, Hobuck is fabulously beautiful and good for the soul.  The beach is soft and flat, perfect for exploring ocean conditions.  If you come out of your boat, simply walk back to shore.
