Seattle REI 6:30 P.M.

This past summer, despite the bad economy, Shawna Franklin and Leon Somme Took 44 days away from there kayak school to paddle around what they believe is one of the most beautiful islands in the world it also happens to be the largest on the western seaboard.
CHALLENGE:
The Island can challenge the most seasoned paddler with some of the fastest ocean currents and tidal races in the word, fog with 0% visibility, kelp beds that can force you a mile offshore and Pacific swell that pounds headlands, explodes over extensive boomer fields and you have to paddle a loaded boat 700 nautical miles.
Sound like heaven?
