Basic Sea Kayaking

May 21 - 23 Coronet Bay Environmental Learning Center (ELC)

(Located at the scenic Deception Pass State Park) 

Join us for a weekend of FUN and ADVENTURE as you develop our techniques and skills on the water! 

Course will provide beginners of all levels with a safe and fun introduction to the sport of Sea kayaking.  You will develop, refresh, and improve basic skills which are ESSENTIAL to paddling:

 ·         Effective Padding Skills

·         Safety and Hazard Awareness

·         Capsize Recovery Techniques

·         Navigation, Tides and Currents

·         Gear, Equipment and clothing 

Class Fee:  For the 2 ½ day course is $160. This includes training and instruction, accommodations for 2 nights and all meals.

All participants must provide their own boat with floatation, paddle, pfd (personal floatation device), and dry suit.  If you will need to rent any of this equipment or all please check out the WKC website for rental information  or call Dale (information listed  below).
