Fri evening 6/1 Tukwila Pool, 8-10 p.m. Wet exits, Bracing, Rolling
Sat 6/2 Boat Control, Strokes, Edging, Re-entries
Sun 6/3 Tukwila Pool, 8:45 - 10:45 a.m. Second Rolling session. Moving water skills: Ferries, Peel outs, Eddie turns
Fri 6/8 – Sat 6/9 Overnight destination in San Juan’s, Navigation, Leadership skills, Camping with sea kayaks
Sun 6/10 Deception Pass Tides and Currents

Washington Kayak Club is pleased to offer an updated Advanced Sea Kayaking class. Have you been sea kayaking for a while but wishing for a little more efficiency, confidence or skills on your paddles?
Then consider the Advanced Sea Kayaking class.
This class will develop your confidence, skills, and knowledge of sea kayaking.
The class will be instructed by some of the best WKC, ACA, and BCU certified coaches in the North West. The six Class sessions focus on developing the individual’s stroke’s, bracing, rolling, rescues, navigation, safety, leadership and trip planning. Class includes two pool sessions, a lake session, a river session, two full days with an overnight camping in the San Juan’s, and finishing with an exciting and rewarding paddle in Deception Pass currents.

If you are a novice… intermediate…..practiced….kayaker…….this class will give you the enhancement of cultivating your skill level.
You will have the advantage of working with some of the most skilled and dedicated instructors in the Pacific North West.
(Located at -the Scenic and Dynamic Deception Pass State Park)
Call now to join us for a weekend of FUN and ADVENTURE as you develop your techniques and skills on the water!
The course will provide kayakers with best practices for a safe and fun learning experience in the sport of Sea kayaking. You will develop, refresh, and improve basic skills and cultivate a higher level of skill which are ESSENTIAL to paddling:
• Effective Padding Skills
• Safety and Hazard Awareness
• Rescue & Recovery
• Navigation, Tides and Currents
• Gear, Equipment and clothing
Class Fee: For the 2 ½ day course is $175.00. This includes training and instruction, accommodations for 2 nights and all meals.
All participants must provide their own boat with floatation, paddle, pfd (personal floatation device), and dry suit.
